Mary Pollick


Youth Minister

Mary grew up in Garfield and Lawrenceville areas of Pittsburgh.  After high school, Mary worked for thirty-four years at Blue Cross of Western Pennsylvania (later called Highmark).  While employed full-time, Mary attended the University of Pittsburgh and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and English in 1978.

She also attended Duquesne University and took credited courses in their Master’s Program for Leadership. In her capacity at Highmark, she held many different management positions.  After leaving Highmark, she was employed in a management position at the UPMC Health Plan.  She has been active in Youth Ministry for the last nineteen years, initially volunteering as a parent chaperone and is now the Youth Minister.  She has been a teacher in the CCD Program and has sung with Sweet Rejoicing for 40 years.  She has been married to her husband Larry for 38 years and has two sons, Andrew and Daniel.
